Donald Trump & The USA

Using Synastry to analyse Donald Trump's connections to the USA chart, we can see his natal Sun is conjunct the USA natal Mars.This indicates an action-packed and volatile relationship. There is a lot of anger bursting to get out with this planetary influence. Whatever happens, there is likely to be a rather fiery response if he doesn't get his own way - and a fiery response even if he does. This connection between the Sun and Mars brings impulsive decisions and a fiercely combative attitude.

Trump's natal Sun is in a square aspect to the USA Neptune. This planetary influence shows that, in some way, Donald Trump is causing America to feel confused about it's own identity. His famous slogan throughout his election campaigns, 'Make America Great Again' is somehow implying that America is in a downward spiral and needs to be 'rescued' - by Trump, of course. Interestingly, in synastry, an aspect between the Sun and Neptune indicates a tendency towards a saviour-victim mentality. In other words, one side - Trump - is making the other side - USA - believe that it is weak and helpless. He is trying to convince the people that he is the one to save them. He wants to be an anti-establishment hero. 

With his natal Moon in an opposition aspect to Mars in the USA chart, Donald Trump has a tendency to over-react. This is bad enough in a normal situation but as the President, an over-reaction could trigger all kinds of problems. Together, Donald Trump and the USA are irritable, intolerant, and short-tempered. This planetary combination indicates explosive conflicts - and not just with other nations. There is a strong indication that the citizens of the US will turn against Trump as the USA natal Mars is also in opposition to his Moon. There is a very real possibility that President Trump could end up being 'at war' with his own nation.

Donald Trump has several strong connections from his natal Venus - conjunct Mercury, sextile Neptune, opposite Pluto, and conjunct the Vertex - to the USA chart. This shows his popularity as many people admire Mr Trump because he symbolises everything that Americans aspire to be - successful, rich, and famous. These positive connections to the USA are the reason he is already mega-wealthy and living the American Dream.

However, most of Donald Trump's connections to the USA chart involve Mars, and one very important aspect is a conjunction from his natal North Node to the USA Mars. This indicates a fiery and fated relationship between himself and the nation. This association will make a strong impact on both - whether as allies or enemies. It suggests that, together, Mr Trump and the USA could become involved in a dramatic showdown. Whatever happens, it is destined to change the course of their lives, in particular that of Mr Trump. But will this be for better or worse? Either way, Donald Trump has already whipped up a storm on the world stage. Like him or loathe him, one thing is for sure - Donald Trump is a true patriot who genuinely wants to make America great again. 

Trump, Zelensky, Vance, Putin

President Zelenskyy was always going to be inextricably linked to Donald Trump in one way or another. Their astrological charts are tightly intertwined with many jaw-dropping connections. Their synastry is powerful but not necessarily harmonious all of the time. Add J.D. Vance into the equation and as we saw at the White House on 28th February, the relationship can become very fraught and irritable.

One thing stood out from their charts - they are all extremely stubborn. Zelenskyy's Aquarian Sun, Trump's Leo Ascendant and Vance's Leo Sun and Ascendant came together and triggered a clash of egos with none of them willing to back down. The hubris in the Oval Office that day was off the scale. It should never have happened. 

There is a lot of potential for Zelenskyy and Trump to work well together. Trump's natal Sun is conjunct Zelenskyy's natal Ascendant, trine his Midheaven and trine his Jupiter. They both have Air Sun signs and both have Fire sign Moons. Trump's Moon is conjunct Zelenskyy's Descendant. 

So, what do we know from the astrology right now? Well, as I've mentioned before in previous posts, Russia is on its way down. The current structure will collapse by 2027 - probably in 2026. Ideally, the Russia-Ukraine war must end by 18th April 2025 otherwise there won't be another astrological window of opportunity until 6th August - 23rd September 2025. This is from my extensive research into the beginnings and endings of wars in Europe. 

J.D. VANCE

This chart is a real eye-opener and on 28th February there was a New Moon at 9° Pisces. This formed a quincunx aspect to his natal Sun, an opposition to his Mercury, a trine to his Saturn, a square to Uranus and a square to Chiron. Not exactly in the right frame of mind for open-minded discourse.

Right now, transiting Uranus is conjunct his natal Midheaven and opposite his natal Mars. It's also square his natal Venus. As a result, his energy levels are extremely high and potentially explosive. He will definitely be spoiling for a fight. Uranus will be square his natal Ascendant from mid-April to mid-July and again during November thereafter continuing until the end of April 2026, bringing sudden and disruptive events which will throw him off balance. It will conjunct his natal North Node from mid-May 2026 onwards until the beginning of June 2027. With all of this Uranus activity, he will have more than a few shocks and surprises coming his way. The planet of chaos will rip through his chart like a tornado during the next two years.

PUTIN

If his birthdate is accurate, then right now he has transiting Mars conjunct his natal Uranus and heading towards a,square to his natal Mercury and Neptune..Interesting that both Vance and Putin have hard Mars-Uranus aspects influencing their charts at the moment. Very volatile energy. He is definitely not in a good mood right now.

Donald Trump's Presidential Inauguration

US Presidents have not always been inaugurated on 20th January. This date began with President Franklin D. Roosevelt for his second term in office on 20th January 1937. Before that, Inauguration Day occurred on 4th March - except when the president died or resigned. In which case the Vice President would be sworn in as soon as possible. The date of the inauguration is delayed by 24 hours if 20th January falls on a Sunday.

Tomorrow, we will witness the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States of America - Donald J. Trump. The astrology for President Trump's second term is unique as this will be the first inauguration date when the Sun will be conjunct Pluto. 

Donald Trump will be the first ever president of the United States to have the powerful conjunction of the Sun and Pluto in his inauguration chart. This chart is the blueprint for his term in office and shows many upheavals but also many notable achievements. There will be moments of crisis during the next four years but these may prove to be beneficial. This inauguration chart heralds a major change of direction for the USA. Dealings with others will be intense and there will be power games to contend with. As long as President Trump does not overestimate his strength, progress will be made and America will become much more influential and effective on the world stage. 

Donald Trump

Back in 2022, transiting Mars, Uranus and the North Node formed a conjunction in the sign of Taurus. Now, two years later, from 12th July - 20th July 2024, Mars is conjunct Uranus again - only this time they will be joined by the Fixed Star Algol. Fixed stars are not actually static but they move so slowly - 1 degree every 72 years - that they appear to barely move at all. Algol is associated with danger and violence and is often referred to as 'The Demon Star'. However, it is also 'The Star Of Spirit' and brings great courage too.

This planetary combination has a very positive side as pioneering, scientific breakthroughs often take place when Mars and Uranus line up. This is because they both symbolise innovation, technology, discovery, new beginnings and looking to the future. They are the planets of initiative, enterprise and radical new concepts.

However, on the world stage, unexpected and dramatic events are likely to occur, particularly in connection to food, finance and territory, including natural disasters like earthquakes, landslides, avalanches, lightning strikes or volcanic eruptions. Because this planetary aspect is taking place in a Fixed Sign, it means that anyone - or anything - with planets in those signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) particularly if they are on, or close to, the relevant degree (26°) will be strongly affected by this influence. 

Donald Trump is a prime example. With his natal Mars currently being squared by the transiting Mars Uranus conjunction and also conjunct his natal Midheaven, it was almost certain that he would be involved in some sort of dramatic event. Many astrologers describe the Midheaven as being connected to career, but the Midheaven is actually the point which represents public image. It is also the point in the chart which symbolises 'things that happen to you'. Therefore, Mars and Uranus conjunct Donald Trump's Midheaven was an indication of something potentially violent happening out of the blue. 

This is not the first time that Donald Trump has been adversely influenced by transiting Mars in conjunction to Uranus in Taurus. This planetary aspect took place on 18th January 2021 - which was 12 days after the storming of the Capitol, two days before the Inauguration of President Biden and on the day that Twitter banned Donald Trump from its platform. 

The last time Mars was conjunct Uranus - in August 2022 - Donald Trump's Florida mansion was raided by the FBI. A very turbulent week lies ahead.

Donald Trump....

There's a lot of Uranus activity in Donald Trump's chart right now so it's no surprise that he's more rebellious and controversial than usual: Solar Arc Uranus is conjunct his natal Ascendant. This combination tends to bring a reaction against change as well as a rebellious attitude towards established patterns and traditions. It triggers upset and the possibility of separation or divorce. Obviously this could refer to the end of his presidency, but could it also be more personal?

Natal Uranus is being opposed by Solar Arc Neptune. With this influence there is often a fear of the unknown. He'd never admit to it, but Donald Trump is probably scared of what his own future holds for him now that he no longer has the power and status of being POTUS. When you have held the highest position in the land, there is only one way to go.... Down. But this need not represent failure. Other former US presidents have embraced the end of their tenure with maturity and gratitude at having been given the opportunity and the honour of leading their nation. If Trump can adopt a more rational and reasonable perspective, he will be able to appreciate the success he's had.

Natal Uranus is being conjuncted by the Progressed North Node. This brings unexpected events which will have repercussions upon Trump's public reputation, leading to negative criticism. This planetary connection often occurs around the time of unexpected loss of a job or scandalous attacks. 

Donald Trump's Progressed Uranus has moved to oppose his natal Moon and conjunct his natal Sun. When Uranus hits the natal Moon by hard aspect in whatever chart - transit, progression, solar arc, etc, - it always indicates a change of residence. So the fact that he lost the election and has had to vacate the White House came as no surprise to most of us astrologers. Uranus conjunct his natal Sun showed sudden reversals and estrangements, as well as increasingly erratic behaviour.

Donald Trump's natal chart has his Sun and Moon in hard aspect to Mars in the USA chart so he was destined to be a provocative influence for his country. This planetary configuration was exactly triggered by the December Solar Eclipse and brought trouble on 6th January with the assault on Capitol Hill. The influence of this eclipse will last until June 2021. Donald Trump won't just disappear. Watch out for the consequences during the next six months - and beyond.....

President Trump - The First Year

Donald Trump’s first year as president will be erratic. With his Solar Arc Pluto conjunct his natal Jupiter (exact in December 2016) and tr Pluto square his natal Jupiter in January 2017, then again from July to early September, and finally during November 2017, his confidence will soar. He'll make several more outlandish promises which will possibly create a significant backlash, legal problems and conflict with authority.

However, with transiting Saturn in opposition to his natal Uranus at the end of November 2016, and then conjunct his natal Moon and in opposition his natal Sun from the end of December 2016 until late January 2017, a severe reality check could shake him up when the responsibilities he’s acquired will suddenly dawn on him. These negative planetary influences will return from July to October 2017 when his public image will take a nosedive. In turn, this will impact unfavourably upon his personal life.

There's a very interesting planetary influence coming up for President Trump when his Progressed Moon enters the 12th sector of his natal chart in April 2017. This planetary influence will last until June 2019 and will bring a period of endings, emotional confusion, escapist tendencies, and a longing for solitude. Being in the spotlight continually will begin to be a problem for him. I experienced this personally when my own Progressed Moon entered sector 12 in February 2013. For everyone who goes through this, it is a very tough time, and for me, it began with two very personal and stressful events. After that, I was plunged into a state of depression. I would definitely not have wanted to be in the spotlight or in a position of great responsibility during that period in my life. It will be interesting to see what happens to Mr Trump. Having said that, he is very adept at putting on a positive face, so, in public, it may seem like business as usual.

Starting in 2017, and continuing for two years, President Trump's Solar Arc Moon will be in an opposition aspect to his natal Ascendant. This planetary influence may bring adverse publicity and a possible loss of popularity. He could experience an increased need for security during this period, and there will strong links with women. There will also be a powerful feeling of deja vu - maybe another encounter with Hillary?

In May and October 2017 and then again in March 2018 transiting Uranus will be in a trine aspect to Mr Trump's natal Mars. This planetary influence will bring the inclination to make snap decisions, and he will have to try to channel his impulsive urges.  However, this is a positive aspect which could bring favourable results.  He will be more courageous when facing new challenges and have great confidence in his abilities.

In January, February and March 2018 Mr Trump's Progressed Moon will be conjunct his natal Pluto - and at the same time his Solar Arc Uranus will be conjunct his natal Mars. Intense but buried feelings could emerge under this planetary influence which could result in extreme reactions. A few secrets may be revealed. This will be a very feisty and potentially explosive period. Certain people or events may trigger fundamental changes in his life and he will either become much more - or much less - popular. 

President-elect Donald Trump

We're all still reeling from the shock that Donald Trump will become the next President of the United States on 20th January 2017. I know of only ONE astrologer who correctly predicted that Trump would win this election. The rest of us studied the charts and although the indications were roughly 50/50 it seemed to point slightly more towards Hillary Clinton. Even that  famous publication The Astrological Journal had a headline on the front cover a few weeks ago entitled: Why Hillary Clinton Is About To Become America's Next President. For the past few days I've seen many astrologers posting apologies on their websites for 'getting it wrong', and I feel I must add my own apology too. 

During the next few weeks, I will attempt to discover what the future holds for the USA, and for Donald Trump. I'll also take a look at the chart of Mike Pence who is now (probably) destined to become the new Vice President. However, the question remains: How did everyone - astrologers, political experts, the media - get this election result so wrong? Could it be that when Trump announced the election was rigged, it actually was - possibly in his favour? Should there be an inquiry? Should America overhaul its voting system? 

It's important to get this situation in perspective. As I said in a previous article Donald Trump is a performer and he loves being in the spotlight. During his election campaign he spouted a lot of controversial things and soon realised that this brought him the attention he so clearly craves. So, he continued being controversial and attracted the kind of individuals who really do believe those things. If these really are Trump's opinions, then there will be trouble from the people who didn't vote for him. But if, as some commentators are suggesting, this was just 'campaign rhetoric', then his supporters will turn against him. 

It's a well known fact that politicians are not straightforward or completely honest. They target a certain group in society and tell them what they want to hear. This is the way they increase their own popularity and garner votes. However, once they have achieved the power they desire, those pre-election promises tend to evaporate. This is very likely to be the case with President Trump. Not only is much of what he said probably just a bluff, he will not actually be allowed to implement many of his dubious policies.
