Prince Harry - Part 2

When the planets - transits, progressions, solar arcs, etc - make aspects to the natal chart, they don't just predict events and experiences, they also reveal the psychology behind it, and the current behaviour and emotions coming into play as the result of new, albeit temporary, planetary influences. This, I suspect, is the reason for Prince Harry's out-of-character display over the last three years.

Harry's Progressed Mars began to conjunct his natal Ascendant in 2019. When any planet - transiting, solar arc, progression, etc conjuncts a personal point in the chart - and the Ascendant is the most personal of all - it tends to alter the attitude and outlook of that person as well as bringing changes to their image.

Progressed Mars has created a very stressful state of mind leading Harry to become argumentative, abrasive and prone to making rash decisions. He will feel a sense of urgency and the need to prepare the ground for future action, but  there could be setbacks through upsetting others. A spirit of compromise will be required to head off conflicts. He is angry and this is what has been driving him headlong into constant trouble throughout the last three years. This influence is coming to a gradual end during 2023. The question is: Will his antagonistic attitude ease off when the aggressive influence of Mars is no longer around to trigger it?

Transiting Uranus has been in an opposition aspect to Harry's natal Midheaven since May 2022 and won't be leaving until mid-March 2024. When a planet is opposite the Midheaven it is conjunct the Immum Coeli (IC) which is the most private personal point in the chart. This is the point at the base of the chart which symbolises the most important and fundamental areas of your life - home and family. I'm sure I don't need to tell you what a transit to the IC from Uranus the planet of chaos means. As we have seen and will continue to see for some time to come, his unreasonable outlook has turned his private life upside down. He is cut off and rebelling against his family, attempting to discredit and dismantle everything that has made him who he is. One thing's for sure, this won't end well and it won't end anytime soon.

Transiting Neptune began to oppose Harry's natal Sun in mid-April 2021. Lasting until mid-February 2023, this influence will have been quite challenging as the result of misunderstandings, fear or mistrust. Honesty may have been hard to come by during this period and there will have been many deceptions and delusions along the way. The structures that he has built up in his life were challenged by circumstances which forced him to make a lot of changes.

Harry's natal Pluto will be hit by three major transiting planets which are changing signs in 2023: An opposition from Jupiter which will bring the urge to drastically change his circumstances in some way, a trine from Saturn which will herald the end of a chapter in his life and the need to start aiming for more self-control, and a square from Pluto which is a generational influence, one of the first 'Mid-Life Crisis' aspects. A Fixed Sign T-Square configuration comprising Mars, Jupiter and Pluto will rattle his chart in the week from the 18th - 25th May by squaring his natal Pluto. This will trigger a ruthless attitude either from him, or towards him.

Harry's Solar Arc Sun changed signs in April 2022 and is now positioned at 0° Scorpio where it will be conjunct his natal Pluto until 2024. This is a powerful planetary combination linked with events that bring about a major change of direction in life. Discovering and following his true vocation will be a challenge for Harry as there may be organised opposition to his schemes and plans. He should concentrate on raising his level of awareness rather than indulging in power games. External forces may appear to obstruct his path and dealings with others will be intense. In seeking to become more influential he may risk overestimating his strengths and might need to face his own less pleasant personality traits. There is a real danger of becoming stressed and fanatical.

With his Progressed Midheaven in a square aspect to his natal Sun until 2024, he may find the road to success becoming much harder.. Although he has an arrogant belief in his own abilities, setbacks will lead to a loss of confidence. He will identify strongly with issues concerning another person, or group of people, but a temptation to hijack the spotlight might land him in trouble.

In his Solar Return chart for the period up to his next birthday, the Initial Indicators are the letters O and S. After his birthday in September 2023, the letters will be I and S. These letters represent people, places or products that will be relevant in his life. I'm assuming the 'S' will include the title of his autobiography - 'Spare'. But it will also be connected other things too. So, keep a lookout and let me know what you find.

Harry's autobiography 'Spare' is officially published today. At this moment in time, transiting Mars is in opposition to his natal Uranus. A very explosive influence which will bring many repercussions over the coming months.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry was born on Saturday 15th September 1984 at 4:20pm in Paddington, London, England. At first glance, Prince Harry's natal chart looks very down-to-earth and practical with three personal planets, including the Sun and Moon, plus his Ascendant, all in Earth signs. But, as is always the case in astrology, the real story lies deeper into the chart, especially within the aspects.

With his Virgo Sun in a square aspect to Mars in Sagittarius, Harry is hot-headed and temperamental at times. He is also restless, impatient and easily frustrated. This planetary combination brings determination to succeed and Harry has a heightened will to achieve in some area but, as yet, he doesn't quite seem to know what that might be.

Harry's natal Sun is also in a square to Neptune, making him highly emotional, impressionable and open to deception. Prone to self-victimisation, he may have problems with confused identity. This planetary combination brings a longing for spiritual enlightenment and a dissatisfaction with current circumstances, so wherever he is and whatever he's doing, he will become restless and want to move on. This planetary influence shows that he is clearly attracted to a glamorous lifestyle and has strong charitable instincts but may struggle to find a clear self-image through being too optimistic and having delusions of his own importance.

With his natal Moon in Taurus, Harry instinctively finds emotional stability in material and financial security. Attracted to beauty and the good life, he is extremely acquisitive in his outlook. He has strong family ties - although these days it would appear that he has replaced one family with another. Like anyone with a Fixed Sign emphasised in their chart, he is very, very stubborn. Harry's Moon is in an opposition aspect to the Midheaven, giving him a powerful link with family tradition and a keen knowledge of history.

Harry's natal Ascendant is in Capricorn. His late grandmother Queen Elizabeth also had her Ascendant in this sign, as did his late grandfather Prince Philip. Like them, he feels a strong sense of tradition and responsibility. His family is the most important thing in his life and he will constantly worry about them. This is also the sign of maturity and respect. Sadly, he seems devoid of those traits right now.

Harry's natal Mercury is in a positive trine aspect to Jupiter. This shows a fertile mind, eager for information and full of ideas. With a positive attitude, he is fun to be around and will enjoy mixing with many different groups of people. This aspect gives Harry good communication skills as well as wide-ranging views on many subjects. A generous nature will enhance his charitable work. Freedom of speech and other human rights are important to him, but he will tend to be forceful or intense in debates or discussions. A tendency to overthink may lead to mental exhaustion.

Natal Mercury in a square to Uranus in Harry's chart shows an eccentric personality. His mind and emotions are very changeable which can both confuse and antagonise others. He tends to approach situations from a rebellious viewpoint as his initial reaction to most social traditions and rules will be to oppose them - even though most of this will remain within his own thoughts. He is likely to have the tendency towards erratic and impractical ideas.

His inability to comply with social rules and acceptable behaviour stems from an innate resistance to authority. He literally has no concept of why he has to live in certain ways, or adhere to a code of conduct. His distorted sense of freedom gives him the desire to live an unconventional lifestyle. Everyone he was influenced by while he was growing up - parents, teachers, etc will now somehow be perceived as his 'enemies'. Many people with this planetary aspect become outsiders, alienated from society, forever blaming others for their life's failures.

With his natal Mars in Sagittarius, Harry is someone whose strength is in his own beliefs. He probably sees himself as some sort of  crusader, although he could get into conflicts by trying to lecture or put others in their place, even when they know more than he does. He's not afraid of controversy or hostility - as long as he's not on the receiving end. Extravagant, ill-conceived actions may cause his downfall.

Harry's natal Mars is situated in the 12th house of his chart. This shows him to be idealistic, compassionate and charitable. However, a combination of discontentment, longing for the impossible, simmering resentment and escapist tendencies could, if he's not careful, lead him down a very dark road. His self-confidence will frequently be eroded by his hyper-sensitive reactions to people and situations. With uncertainty about the boundaries between himself and others, he has a confused self-image.

Harry's natal Pluto is situated in the 10th house of his chart, and as the ruling planet of his Scorpio Midheaven - the point which symbolises the public image - his personal presence is strong.  As Pluto rules extreme feelings and attitudes, he may attract, or provoke, love-hate reactions towards, or from, other people. There are deep issues revolving around the relationship with his father that need to be confronted and dealt with properly. He has both a desire to be influential but at the same time wants to hide away from public attention. With a powerful sense of commitment and responsibility, he will naturally take the lead as he will hate being in a subordinate.position.

Many of Harry's planets, including his natal Sun, are positioned in Mutable Signs. These are also referred to as Dual Signs due to their ambiguous nature. People with this influence in their chart often live a double life.and this can take many forms: Some people may literally live a double life by having two separate families - neither of which is aware of the other. Or by having a secret identity, an illicit affair, or a hidden, perhaps even criminal lifestyle.

In Harry's case, his duality appears to pull him in opposite directions. He decided to leave his family, his country (and continent) and his royal duties because he wanted to be independent and live a normal life with his wife and children. He has done nothing to achieve that. Instead, he exploits his royal relatives in order to make money from his 'career' and retains the titles bestowed upon him by the very monarchy he claims to detest. A double life - or double standards?

November Lunar Eclipse

The Lunar Eclipse on 8th November 2022 at 16° Taurus, just like the recent Solar Eclipse, will have a major impact on various countries, including Ukraine's Pluto and Russia’s Sun, Mercury and Saturn - both in Scorpio - as well as China's Saturn. The UK's Venus will also take a hit just as it did from the Mars Uranus North Node stellium back in August. This eclipsed Moon will be conjunct transiting Uranus, so expect things to become chaotic.Or, should I say, more chaotic.

Interestingly, it will trigger Boris Johnson's natal Jupiter Neptune opposition. In President Zelenskyy's chart it will conjunct his natal Uranus and square his Moon and Midheaven. In Putin's chart, the Lunar Eclipse will square his Nodal Axis.

There will be more eclipse effects for the British Monarchy too, as the Lunar Eclipse will square King Charles' natal Pluto (ruler of his 4th house) and Ceres. This influence will bring the need to take more control within the family circle. I feel he may need to take more time away in order to process his feelings of loss, during which he could decide to mediate a compromise, before returning to his service with renewed commitment after letting go of certain situations.

The Lunar Eclipse will oppose Prince Harry's Scorpio Midheaven bringing major changes associated with his public image and professional profile. Dashed hopes could result in a loss of position or status, and a struggle to achieve his goals. Adverse publicity will affect his popularity. He may also experience conflict between his domestic and professional life.

This Lunar Eclipse has a very interesting connection to Lady Louise - daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex. She was born on 8th November 2003 which was the day before an identical Lunar Eclipse to this one at 16° Taurus. As eclipse cycles repeat approximately every 19 years, this will be her first birthday eclipse since she was born. The next one will occur close to her birthday in 2040 but not actually on it, so this Lunar Eclipse is very significant and indicates a dramatic change in her life during the next 12 months. Wonderful opportunities lie ahead.

In conjunction to Catherine, Princess of Wales' natal Chiron, the Lunar Eclipse could bring a period of personal crisis and a life-changing decision will be made during the next six months. As the eclipse is also in a square aspect to her natal Ascendant, this could involve her personal appearance, her name (or title), domestic environment, or her outlook and attitude.

Harry & Meghan - Update 2020

Harry and Meghan's Composite Chart (both natal charts combined as one) portrays them as a couple who will attain global influence. I never understood this when I first looked at the chart just before they married two years ago, After all, it's Harry's older brother William who is in direct line to the throne and who will, one day, along with his wife Catherine, become the head of the British Royal Family. But with everything that's been happening during the last couple of weeks, it's now becoming very clear what this chart means! There are many hard aspects, particularly squares an oppositions, and this indicates quite a few challenges but also the necessary determination to overcome them. These two will not be content to drift along - going with the flow is not an option.

With Venus, Mars, Juno and the Nodes all situated on World Points, Harry and Meghan could very well become major icons. A square aspect between Mercury and Jupiter hints at over-confidence, poor judgement or indiscretion, so a tell-all TV interview would probably not be a good idea and this planetary aspect also explains why they have taken to suing the media. They also have Saturn in conjunction with Pluto - which is currently being triggered by a square aspect from those same two planets in transit, so a big drama was to be expected.

As a couple, Harry and Meghan are a very dynamic pair. With their Composite Ascendant in Aries - the sign of new beginnings -  they present a confident and enthusiastic image. They want to do things their way and they want to do them now. Living for the moment and not accepting any real responsibility can be a negative trait of this sign as it tends to be impulsive and spontaneous. Harry and Meghan will have to learn that knowing what they want is not enough, they need to consider the consequences too.

With the composite Sun in a square aspect to Uranus, this relationship is bound to be exciting, stimulating, and sometimes controversial. They are an unconventional couple in lots of ways, and being bound by traditional rules will have made them feel trapped and restless. With this planetary influence they will be determined to free themselves from limiting situations or ideas.

Harry and Meghan's Composite Moon is in the sign of Cancer and in sector four of the chart, so family is important to them both - although right now that's hard to believe since they have both alienated their loved ones. The family they have created themselves seems to be their priority - Archie and any future siblings he may have. This position of the  Moon indicates a very strong need for privacy and in opposition to the Midheaven, a definite clash with their public image, duties, etc. So, in their eyes, their private lives and their professional lives just do not mix. There can be no compromise. This opposition will be triggered by transiting Jupiter and Saturn at the end of this year, so expect big news in December 2020!

With the composite Moon in a square aspect to Saturn and Pluto, the relationship between Harry and Meghan is intensely emotional but a fear of losing one another could be a big issue in this partnership, particularly from Meghan's point of view. They will need to take care not to allow this feeling to undermine the trust and commitment they already have. this planetary combination shows that their relationship started suddenly and also uprooted one or both of them from their past. Obviously that refers to Meghan but now with the move to Canada, it's Harry too.

On a personal level, transiting Jupiter has just crossed Harry's natal Ascendant and will spend the next 12 months in sector one of his chart. This influence will bring more freedom to enjoy new experiences, to travel and explore foreign lands and cultures. So, it's no coincidence that he emigrated at this point in time. New people entering his life will make him feel positive and optimistic. The only problem is that this positive phase will only last until February 2021 - so what will happen after that?

However, the scene is not quite so rosy in Meghan's chart. Transiting Pluto began to oppose her natal Ascendant in March 2019. This is a long-term planetary influence which will continue until December 2022, bringing tremendous pressure, significant challenge and possible changes in her relationships - personal or professional. It's possible that Meghan may be affected by circumstances beyond her control that will cause a crisis in her relationships, or perhaps even bring them to an end. Official contracts and agreements will be very important during the next three years and she will have to beware of unfair tactics or manipulation in any potential business deals. There's a chance that she may have to contend with very assertive opponents, competitors, or rivals who will openly challenge her to the point of becoming involved in legal battles.

It's clear from Harry and Meghan's Composite Chart that their decision to move to Canada was just the beginning. There's more to come - it's not over....

Harry and Meghan

SYNASTRY

Harry and Meghan's synastry (comparing both natal charts to each other) is outstanding. They have the astrological hallmarks of a very strong relationship. If you are a regular visitor to this blog, you'll have read my comments about Polarity. This combination is present in over 80% of committed partnerships and it occurs when one partner's Sun, Moon, or Ascendant is directly opposite the other partner's Sun, Moon, or Ascendant. Harry's natal Ascendant is in the sign of Capricorn and Meghan's natal Ascendant is in Cancer. Although their Ascendants are not opposite by degree, they do have Rising Sign Polarity.

Another indicator of a solid, stable and committed partnership is Saturn in one person's chart forming an aspect to the Sun, Moon, or Venus in the other's. Once again, this is present in the synastry of Harry and Meghan with his natal Saturn in a square aspect to her natal Sun, as well as in a positive sextile to her Venus.

Harry's natal Sun and Moon are both trine Meghan's natal Descendant (the point of partnerships) creating a beautifully balanced connection between them which is likely to have had a very powerful impact. Not only a strong physical attraction but also a very powerful emotional bond. Deja Vu is a common experience with the Moon in one chart aspecting the other's Descendant, so when these two met for the very first time, it's highly likely that they felt they already knew each other. They definitely 'hit the ground running' with this relationship! No second thoughts, no doubts.

With Harry's Venus conjunct Meghan's Pluto there is a lot of passion between them. There will be intense feelings of love, perhaps tinged with obsession, resentment or jealousy. But, nevertheless, a dynamic, dramatic, and loyal union. Harry's natal Mars in a positive sextile aspect to Meghan's Pluto shows that working with each other will enhance their personal lives. These two have great confidence and courage, and together they will achieve some remarkable feats.

Mars in Harry's natal chart is in a positive trine to Meghan's natal Sun. This indicates that she feels energised by him and he felt compelled to pursue a relationship with her. With Harry's natal Mars square Meghan's natal Venus there is phenomenal chemistry between them. The magnetism pulling these two together must have been impossible to resist. Harry's natal Ascendant is opposite Meghan's Mars and this influence produces a very powerful physical attraction to one another. This couple are hot stuff!

Harry's natal Uranus makes more aspects to Meghan's chart than any other planet with no fewer than seven connections to her Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Vertex, and Midheaven. In synastry, Uranus in aspect to the Sun brings 'love-at-first-sight' and a sudden, magnetic attraction. In their first television interview, Harry said that he knew Meghan was 'the one' from the very first time they met. Uranus aspecting the Moon supercharges the emotions in a very exciting way! You can almost feel the electricity between them.

Harry's Uranus in a trine to Meghan's Mercury indicates a strong mental rapport with many shared interests. His Uranus is also conjunct her Vertex - an indication that their first meeting was a fated encounter which will change their lives forever. Harry's Uranus in a positive trine to Meghan's Midheaven shows greater independence through mutual support for each other. Setting up new ventures together and humanitarian work will be extremely important to both of them.

Harry's Pluto is in a square aspect to Meghan's Nodes. With this aspect between their charts this couple will alter each other's lives in a big way. This is a traditional symbol of star-crossed lovers' and in synastry indicates an instant feeling of familiarity and attraction to one another. It would have been very difficult for them not to begin a relationship. It was meant to be.
