President Zelenskyy - Upcoming Eclipses

When astrologers want to make a forecast for a world leader, we have to study not only their natal chart and the aspects being made to it from transits, solar arcs, etc, we also have to incorporate other data into our astrological analysis too by using Political Term Charts. These are the dates on which the current leader won the election that made them the president or prime minister and subsequent elections that bring forth a new term as leader. 

Volodymyr Zelenskyy won the presidential election in Ukraine on 21st April 2019. Twenty-nine days later, on 20th May 2019, he was inaugurated as the President of Ukraine. So, when we look to see what's coming up for him, we must analyse him on a personal level and also as a political leader.

On 20th April 2023 there will be a Solar Eclipse at 29°.Aries. As with all eclipses that fall on, or close to, a birthday or anniversary date, the effect will last for the next 12 months. This Solar Eclipse will conjunct the Election Chart Sun, Uranus and Descendant, leading to a significant event or change. Although, at first this may not be welcomed as a positive development, in time it will be perceived as a blessing in disguise. The President will somehow be removed from a situation that has run its course. The truth will be exposed and something which has been hidden or ignored will be brought to the surface. 

The fight continues but there's an indication that authority figures will step down or be overthrown. The President may feel isolated during the next few months and might have to re-assess who his true friends and supporters really are. There will be tension in a close partnership and a clash of opinions with a friend or colleague. Someone will leave. This will be a challenging time.

The Solar Eclipse is located in the 6th House of the Election Chart and will bring issues related to daily routine, work and health. The nature of the President's work, the working environment and people he employs will all be affected. There could be a change of appearance, identity, or location, perhaps in response to something from the outside world.

The following Lunar Eclipse on 5th May 2023 will be in the 7th House and will form a square aspect to the Election Chart Midheaven. Again, the theme will be those the President considers to be allies or adversaries. Additionally, it will have an effect upon  partnerships, contracts and agreements. The focus will also be on anyone who represents or collaborates with him. There will be opposition and a possible change of direction.

During the next 12 months, President Zelenskyy will somehow be propelled into the spotlight in much the same way as he was on election night. That was his night of victory - will this be his year of victory? 

President Zelenskyy - Upcoming Transits

Transiting Saturn has been in opposition to President Zelensky's natal Saturn from late March 2023, and will be again from mid-October until early December 2023. This aspect - the Saturn Half-Return - happens to everyone around the age of 45 as part of the Saturn cycle. The opposition aspect represents a dilemma or decision, bringing an extremely significant and very challenging phase, but through it, he will experience a renewed sense of purpose. 

Transiting Uranus will square the President's natal Midheaven from 24th April 2023 - 12th May 2024 bringing a period of uncertainty, unpredictability and change of direction. On a personal level, he may begin to question his position in the world, what he ultimately wants for himself and his family, and because of this, he may begin to reassess his goals. 

During this planetary influence, President Zelenskyy will want the freedom to make personal decisions and choices, but current circumstances - and the events happening over the next few months - will make that very difficult. The changes and disruption to his career and professional status could start to bring a deeper sense of insecurity and might also affect his loved ones too, leading to restlessness, anger and frustration. As a result, he may resort to impulsive actions and sudden life-altering moves. The best option will be to adapt to these changes and use them as opportunities that will eventually bring greater freedom in the future. Otherwise, he may be tempted to accept the offer of 'a ride' and leave Ukraine after all.

Transiting Pluto began to oppose President Zelenskyy's natal Mars:in March 2022. It will gain traction during 2023, be on full power throughout 2024, before easing off in 2025 and finally fading away in 2026. During this period of time - which spans several years - he will feel an increased surge of determination. This will demand his full attention and is not without problems and frustrations. However, he is capable of a great amount of hard work and although he might suffer from exhaustion, he will be unwilling to slow down. The President may find that he has to deal with another person's anger which may be connected to professional partnerships or negotiations and contracts. The potential for coercion or intimidation is very high and he should be more vigilant than ever in avoiding dangerous situations.  

Mars is the ruling planet of President Zelenskyy's natal 11th house, so therefore, it represents friends, groups, allies, the gathering of people for a common purpose. With transiting Pluto opposing it, does this suggest a possible change of heart by those who are supporting him? In his natal chart, Mars is situated in the 2nd House which represents stability and security, so this planetary influence could increase the threats to his safety.

Intense conflict is indicated by this planetary combination but whatever formidable opponents President Zelenskyy encounters, he will demonstrate considerable strength in asserting himself. Important issues may reach a critical point but, true to form, he will not fail to stand up for what is right. His willingness to persist unrelentingly to overcome the most challenging obstacles will continue to inspire the world. Compromise may be difficult but there can be no success without sacrifice. He will continue to demonstrate strong leadership and remain in full command. He knows what he wants and this planetary influence will provide him with the courage and the perseverance to achieve it. 

President Zelenskyy's UK Visit

On Wednesday 8th February 2023, President Zelenskyy made a surprise visit to the UK before heading to Europe. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have mentioned this in the blog as it wasn't his first foreign trip since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and also because I'd already analysed the chart for his visit to the USA on 21st December 2022. However, the chart for the UK trip is just as jaw-dropping.

The USA visit and the UK visit were exactly seven weeks apart. Obviously, the Sun had changed signs, but intriguingly, in both charts, the Moon was in Mutable signs.- Sagittarius (USA) and Virgo (UK).

Mercury was in Capricorn on 21st December 2022 and because of retrograde motion it was still in Capricorn on 8th February 2023.

Venus was at 14° Capricorn for the USA trip and at 14° Pisces for the UK trip. On both occasions it exactly aspected President Zelenskyy's natal Mercury - which is not only the planet of communication but is also his chart ruler. Venus in aspect to Mercury brings compromise, tactful communications and a charm offensive in business and professional scenarios, so an excellent influence for important speeches.

Mars is situated at 11° Gemini - in both charts. Again, this is due to the fact that Mars was in retrograde motion, moving back as far as 8° Gemini throughout January 2023 and then resuming direct motion. But to end up being on exactly the same degree for both of President Zelenskyy's visits is extraordinary. A degree which shows up time after time when similar events take place is what we astrologers call a 'hot degree'. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

Jupiter had moved from 0° Aries to 7° Aries - conjunct the President's natal South Node.This is an indicator of considerable luck. It certainly brought good fortune during his journey, so let's hope there is also a lucky outcome too.

President Zelenskyy's Speech To Congress

When President Zelenskyy visited Washington DC on Wednesday 21st December 2022, the astrology was mind-blowing. Taking place on the Winter Solstice, the transiting Sun was at 0° Capricorn, transiting Jupiter at 0° Aries, and transiting Ceres at 0° Libra. So a Cardinal T-Square on World Points. This is a very powerful configuration.

Intriguingly, the transiting Moon was in the same place as it's position on the day the war began - 8° Sagittarius. Yes, I know, the transiting Moon hits this position every month, but to be there on that particular date when all those other planetary aspects were also active makes it highly significant. 

The transiting Sun was conjunct President Zelenskyy's Solar Arc Uranus, square his Progressed Mercury and was just leaving a trine to his natal Saturn. The Sun is one of the 'activator' planets which, when connected to a Solar Arc planet, triggers that planet into action. I expected his Solar Arc Uranus to bring shocks or surprises, particularly as it was conjunct a World Point which indicates breaking out of a place of safety and doing something dangerous. This is exactly what he did by making his first foreign visit since 24th February 2022 at great personal risk.

Transiting Jupiter conjunct his Progressed Mercury not only symbolises his foreign travel on that day but also his speech to Congress which he conducted entirely in English. This is one of the best planetary combinations for legal issues and the signing of contracts and agreements as it indicates that negotiations will be well received. President Zelenskyy was particularly eloquent and forthright in presenting his speech.  

Transiting Jupiter and Ceres were both square his Solar Arc Uranus. Jupiter rules the USA and Ceres has a strong connection with Ukraine, so this planetary configuration was very symbolic of both nations. Jupiter on a World Point indicates a famous world leader capturing the attention of the people. He certainly did that! Transiting Jupiter was also making it's final trine aspect to President Zelenskyy's natal Mars. This planetary influence is excellent for making fortunate decisions. I've said this before in another post, but I'll say it again: I wouldn't be surprised if President Zelenskyy receives astrological advice. He makes major decisions on very auspicious dates. This one is a prime example.

The planetary configurations present on the Winter Solstice will be re-activated on 21st March - the day after the Spring Equinox - when both the Sun and Moon will be positioned at 0° Aries, making hard aspects to the Sun, Jupiter, Ceres and President Zelenskyy's Solar Arc Uranus. Closer still will be the Full Moon on 5th February when, in combination with transiting Uranus, will trigger all the World Points, so expect significant developments.

Putin versus Zelenskyy

Today is Vladimir Putin's 70th birthday. Allegedly. He lies about everything else, so he is possibly also lying about his date of birth. However, we astrologers can only accept the information that we're given, so if Putin really was born on this date, here is how he interacts astrologically with President Zelenskyy.

Although both Putin and Zelenskyy have their natal Suns in Libra and Aquarius, they are not in any way, compatible. These two men could never have seen eye to eye in any situation and may well have been adversaries in whatever way their paths had crossed. Unfortunately, as the leaders of their respective nations, the threat takes on a whole new significance.

Putin's Sun is conjunct Zelenskyy's Pluto. Change on a deep level will occur under the influence of this planetary combination - but at what cost? This aspect is a tough one in any synastry connection but when the two people involved are already potential enemies in positions of great authority, it brings many upheavals as well as fanatical and obsessive attitudes. As we have seen, one of these men has a power complex, is extremely ruthless and is not above tyranny. This Sun Pluto aspect is often linked to events that bring about a major change of direction in the lives of the people who are under its influence. There's a strong feeling of inevitability and definite power struggles. Both the Sun and Pluto like to feel in control of situations, which leads to both people trying to maintain the upper hand. There’s potential for abuse and mutual destruction. Both are extremely stubborn: Putin won't give up and Zelenskyy won't back down.

Putin's Mars is opposite Zelenskyy's Jupiter. By combining their energies they could reach a compromise and the irony of this aspect between Putin and Zelenskyy is that it is a great influence for settling disputes. On the negative side, this planetary effect brings losses through lack of restraint and the consequences of taking ill-judged risks. Resistance to restrictions can lead to conflict. 

I have a friend who, like me, has been an astrologer for a very long time. Professional astrologers tend to branch out into various methods and techniques, finding exactly what works best for them. My friend has a very down-to-earth approach and one of his regular sayings is, "Never ignore the symbolism". What he means is that it's not always necessary to dive into the deepest meanings of planetary aspects because the literal appearance also provides relevant information. In the Synastry between Putin and Zelenskyy, Putin's natal Mars is conjunct Zelenskyy's natal Ceres. Mars symbolises aggresson, weapons and war. Ceres symbolises the land, crops, fields, agriculture and the environment. Ukraine is known as 'The Bread Basket Of Europe' because of it's fertile plains. The literal symbolism is: Putin's war on Zelenskyy's land. 

Putin's Saturn in a square aspect to Zelenskyy's Mercury indicates serious, negative attitudes and a generally uncommunicative atmosphere. This connection is literally all gloom and doom. Perhaps both of them are too single-minded and stubborn. Either way, there are many obstacles to overcome. 

Putin's Saturn is conjunct Zelenskyy's Pluto. Sound familiar? Yes, Saturn conjunct Pluto - the same influence of January 2020 when the Covid Pandemic began. This planetary aspect indicates that Putin feels threatened by Zelenskyy who wants to distance himself from Putin and all he represents. It also symbolises great hardship. Interestingly, this planetary combination is due to appear again during the next few years as transiting Pluto will be conjunct Saturn in the Ukraine national chart from 2023 onwards. 

With Putin's Uranus in opposition to Zelenskyy's Mercury, it indicates that they would stimulate each other to question and challenge accepted beliefs and attitudes. But would Putin deliberately take the opposite view just for the sake of it? Putin's Pluto in opposition to Zelenskyy's Midheaven - the deepest point in Zelenskyy's chart - shows him to be an agent of either transformation or destruction.

There's a lot of karma, fate and destiny between the charts of Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. One of these is Putin's natal North Node conjunct Zelenskyy's Midheaven. Bizarrely, there is the potential to collaborate and join forces - although I think that opportunity has never actually happened and never will. Interestingly, this karmic influence tends to.thrust someone in a direction that advances their public and professional image. This is certainly true of President Zelenskyy who went from relative obscurity to being a global icon virtually overnight. He does not particularly enjoy the role of authoritarian war leader but is not afraid to demand the freedom he wants for Ukraine.  

President Zelenskyy - Part 3

At the moment, President Zelenskyy is experiencing some uplifting energy from transiting Jupiter in a positive sextile aspect to his natal Sun. This planetary influence began in June and will continue until the end of September 2022 with a final burst in late January 2023. Interactions with other people during this period will bring a positive attitude and fresh perspective, inspiring him with a renewed sense of faith in what’s possible. 

When the invasion of Ukraine began, transiting Saturn was at 18° Aquarius, in opposition to President Zelenskyy's natal Moon and about to make an exact conjunction to his Midheaven. It has since moved away from these aspects but is now on its way back and will again oppose his Moon and conjunct his Midheaven from the end of August 2022 until January 2023. 

The Moon signifies a person's instinctive, emotional response to their environment, so when transiting Saturn went into a headlong confrontation with his natal Moon back in February, President Zelenskyy will have felt extremely vulnerable as this planetary combination tends to bring worry, pessimism and a fear of failure. He may feel like this again, particularly during October and November 2022. However, this time it will be accompanied by transiting Uranus in a square to his natal Moon bringing emotional turmoil and extreme tension. This transit from Uranus started in June 2022 and will continue until mid May 2023. 

So a new and disruptive planetary influence from transiting Uranus is being added to the mix, affecting both President Zelenskyy's private life and how he is seen by the public. Could his public image be damaged in some way? Or will he perhaps be prevented from communicating because of security issues such as computer hacking? He is a prolific broadcaster, publishing several video messages every day on various social media platforms, attending virtual meetings and giving speeches. This is a vital part of his mission to stay connected to the world at large and to make everyone aware of what is happening in Ukraine.

In the meantime, there is another dramatic influence to deal with. Approaching in late July and reaching its peak on the 1st and 2nd of August 2022, transiting Mars, Uranus and the North Node will form a Stellium, joining forces in a powerful triple conjunction at 18° Taurus. This will form a square aspect to his natal Moon and Midheaven, an opposition aspect to his natal Uranus and a quincunx to his natal Neptune and Pluto. As this planetary influence will take place in House 11 of his natal chart, it will probably affect his alliances with those who support him. The 11th rules friends, allies, groups, teams, associations and organisations. Could there be a problem in connection to the UN, NATO, or the EU? Perhaps the problem will be closer to home and involve his own government in some way? The aspects being made to his natal planets will bring much upset and anger involving hasty decisions, disputes and conflict. The atmosphere will be tense and there will also be a high risk of accidents during this period. 

On 20th August 2022, transiting Mars will enter Gemini for an extraordinarily long journey lasting seven months. During this period because of direct, stationary and retrograde phases, it will move back and forth through the 12th House and into the 1st House of President Zelenskyy's natal chart. Mars transiting the 12th can bring health problems. He may need more sleep, or feel disorientated. Mars is the planet of confidence and physical energy but in the 12th all of that is depleted. When Mars enters the 1st house on 4th October, he will feel a surge of vitality and optimism which will last until 23rd November, after which Mars will move back into his 12th and again, he will feel drained. It won't re-enter his 1st House properly until 6th March 2023.

In astrology, the 12th house is a very misunderstood area of the chart with many 'astrologers' wrongly claiming that it is all about misfortune. This is mainly because the 12th is strongly connected to Karma. But, just like all the other houses in a chart, the 12th has both positive and negative attributes. With transiting Mars in his 12th House from 20th August - 4th October, President Zelenskyy might need to keep a low profile for a while. This could be at his own instigation or it may be forced upon him by circumstances. I've already mentioned in a previous paragraph that he could be prevented from communicating for some reason, so are these two situations connected? Certainly, on the world stage, Mars in Gemini will bring the risk of cyber attacks and if that happens the president would become a prime target.

Another indication of Mars in the 12th House is 'covert operations'. Although President Zelenskyy informs his citizens - and the rest of the world - about what is happening in Ukraine, most of what he knows will be kept under wraps. All political leaders are obliged to do this for security reasons. As a member of the secret services once said, "If you tell your friends, you tell your enemies." So, there is a lot of action going on behind the scenes that only the president and those he trusts the most will be aware of. A key phrase associated with house 12 is: Potential, planning and preparation. I think something is being planned and prepared over the next few months, the potential of which is yet to be revealed.....

Transiting Mars will be a very positive influence for President Zelenskyy when it first enters Gemini, sextiling his natal Mars, Sun and Venus until 4th September. When he won the presidential election on 21st April 2019, Mars was at 14° Gemini. Transiting Mars will hover over this degree from the 12th - 21st September, again in mid December and for a final hit in the second half of February 2023. Will there be some sort of threat or challenge to his presidency?

For the first four days of October transiting Mars will be trine President Zelenskyy's natal Midheaven. It will then conjunct his natal Ascendant until 9th October. Mars goes retrograde on 31st October, conjuncting his Ascendant again on 23rd November, before forming a trine aspect to his Midheaven again on the 26th. It will then be back in House 12 until 6th March 2023 when it will enter the 1st House for the final time until its return on 20th July 2024.

When transiting Mars is in a trine aspect to his natal Midheaven, President Zelenskyy will feel increased motivation, initiative, and self-belief. Working in high-pressure situations will be stimulating and he will know instinctively when, or if, to take risks. He will take decisive actions calculated to bring tangible results.

With transiting Mars in conjunction to his natal Ascendant, President Zelenskyy will feel increasingly strong and courageous. However, this may provoke aggressive responses, ending in confrontation. He could experience a lot of anger and resentment - either directed towards others or from others. He should focus this energy towards achieving his goals as success will be more likely under this planetary influence than at any other period.

President Zelenskyy - Part 2

Transiting Saturn began to conjunct President Zelenskyy's natal Midheaven and trine his natal Ascendant the day before the war started. It will ease off during May, June and July before gaining power again in August and will continue until mid-January 2023. This has brought, and will continue to bring, difficult challenges, pessimistic thoughts and self-doubt. Certainly for the first few weeks of the war, he probably felt somewhat unsupported. Zoom calls kept him in contact with other leaders around the world but basically he must have felt very distanced from those who could provide assistance. In recent weeks, that situation has altered and now he receives regular face-to-face visits from those leaders who travel to Kyiv for important discussions. Saturn in aspect to the Midheaven and Ascendant will bring progress but it will be slow, steady and gradual.

The Midheaven represents the public persona and professional image, so it's no surprise that with Saturn conjunct that particular point in President Zelenskyy's chart, his public image has changed drastically over the last 12 weeks. Gone is the fresh-faced, youthful-looking, ebullient man. His demeanor is now - quite understandably - serious, and he appears to have aged 10 years since February. This is the influence of Saturn which symbolises increased maturity and the tremendous weight of responsibility, both of which he has had to adapt to since this war began. Saturn also rules people in authority, people who have titles and people who wear uniforms. As his title is not just 'President' but also 'Supreme Commander In Chief', his current image could not be more reflective of what is happening in his chart. If the war had not occurred, this Saturn transit still would have, so some other event would have brought the same effect of increased pressure on his leadership. None of us knows exactly what we are capable of until fate tests us. President Zelenskyy has more than passed this test, he has exceeded everyone's expectations. 

Transiting Uranus began to form a trine aspect to natal Mercury in mid-March 2022. Lasting until early April 2023, under this planetary influence, President Zelenskyy's mind will be much more restless and active and he will need a healthy outlet for his increased nervous energy. He'll have more contact with other people during this time, and may become involved in group activities or working with organizations that propose new political or humanitarian objectives. He may initiate partnerships with people who offer a different perspective or new information. Under this planetary influence he will definitely know who his true allies are.

On 31st March 2022, transiting Jupiter entered President Zelenskyy's 10th house where it will reside until 13th April 2023. Jupiter in the 10th house is a very fortunate position bringing increased status and professional success, so it's no wonder that he has become a global icon  Authority figures and influential people will continue to be supportive thanks to his integrity and honesty. The more willing he is to put himself in the spotlight, the more positive the reaction. During this period - or soon after it ends - he is likely to receive some sort of recognition for what he has accomplished. As there have been reports of the Nobel Peace Prize and even an honorary knighthood on the horizon, does this indicate that the war will be over by then? 

Transiting Jupiter on its journey through Aries will form a trine aspect to President Zelenskyy's natal Mars three times from May until December 2022. It will also be in a sextile aspect to his natal Sun and Venus. These positive influences should ease the pressure on him to some extent. When transiting Jupiter is trine natal Mars, it will bring increased energy, optimism and self-confidence. He will want to move forward, overcome difficulties and above all to win. He will continue to project himself well on the world stage. Under this planetary influence, he will feel very sure of his decisions which will help him to convince others. He will experience more freedom of action and this will create many new opportunities. 

For all of us between the ages of 38 and 45, certain major transiting planets begin to make challenging aspects to their natal positions. This heralds what is known as 'The Mid-Life Crisis'. One of these is transiting Neptune square natal Neptune which President Zelenskyy experienced throughout 2019 - the year he won the presidential election. Realising an unfulfilled ambition is one of the influences of this planetary aspect, as is building an entirely different life structure and this could involve making sacrifices to help other people.

Another key 'Mid-Life Crisis' aspect which is about to take place in President Zelenskyy's chart is transiting Uranus opposite natal Uranus which begins now and continues until May 2023 and the main theme of this influence is freedom, doing your own thing, living how you want to live. A lot of people go through some kind of sudden urge to become the person they've always wanted to be. What they have spent years creating and consolidating - marriage, children, career, and social reputation - is no longer satisfying. How this planetary effect will play out in President Zelenskyy's life during the next 12 months will remain to be seen. 

President Zelenskyy

Before the start of 2020, astrologers foresaw economic collapse and political upheaval on the way due to the Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn in January 2020. We thought that this would possibly be as the result of war. However, when the Pandemic arrived, we assumed that the 'war' had actually been the battle for survival against the virus. The Saturn Pluto conjunction of 2020 took place at 22° Capricorn - and exactly four weeks ago, on Thursday 24th February 2022, war began in Ukraine. Transiting Mars was exactly conjunct that degree for the first time in two years, thereby re-triggering the Saturn Pluto effect. 

Astrologically, there is so much to say about the war in Ukraine and most of it has already been said by other astrologers. Personally, I feel that publishing an astrological analysis of the unrelenting horrendous circumstances in Ukraine is in poor taste and serves no useful purpose. For me, it seems inappropriate, voyeuristic and somewhat ghoulish. That doesn't mean that I, like other astrologers all over the world, have not studied the relevant charts in order to gain perspective on this situation but I will not be 'going public' with the information at the present moment.  However, there is one chart analysis which I do feel deserves to be shown right now.

PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was born on Wednesday 25th January 1978 at 2:00pm in Krivoj Rog, Ukraine. I think we are all aware of what a remarkable man he is, as his character is on display for the whole world to see. President Zelenskyy's natal Sun is situated in the sign of Aquarius. It is conjunct Venus and in opposition to Mars. Friendly and warm, he is very much liked by those he meets. However, when it is necessary to confront people directly and forcefully; he has no problem facing up to the challenge..

His Moon is in Leo - and he was born one day after a Full Moon which indicates strong instincts and intuition. Well suited for any leadership role, he has a real ability for public life and plenty of confidence. Others will admire his strength and determination and his natal Moon is in a positive sextile aspect to Pluto which tends to bring mass popularity. This is what is happening at the current time just as it did when he was a performer and also back in 2019 when he won a landslide election victory. The Moon in Leo brings an instinctive need to be creative and a natural love of being in the spotlight. He is now well and truly centre stage.

The Moon in a natal chart represents home and family. Extend this beyond the boundaries of your own domestic environment and 'home' becomes your nation and 'family' becomes your fellow citizens. As the leader of his country, President Zelenskyy realises that he is responsible for protecting his home and family - both domestically and nationally. With transiting Saturn now in opposition to his natal Moon, it's clear that the seriousness of this situation is weighing heavily upon him. 

President Zelenskyy's natal Ascendant is in the sign of Gemini. He is intellectually well above average, has strong humanitarian instincts, and hates violence. An eloquent speaker, President Zelenskyy excels in communication skills, so it's no surprise to learn that he conducted his presidential election campaign almost entirely via social media. Indeed, another famous president, Ronald Reagan was described as 'The Great Communicator'. He too was a Sun sign Aquarian who emerged from the world of show business to become the leader of his nation. I think what we are witnessing now is the emergence of a new 'Great Communicator'. President Zelenskyy now wears this crown and is more than worthy of the title. 

Zelenskyy - Natal Chart

Several of President Zelenskyy's planets are currently situated on World Points: Progressed Mercury, Progressed Venus, Solar Arc Moon, Solar Arc Uranus, Solar Return Mars and his Solar Return Ascendant. So, it's no surprise that he has been thrust into the global spotlight so suddenly and so dramatically. His chart ruler Mercury has progressed to 0° Aries and is trine his natal Mars. At the same time, his Solar Arc Mars is trine his natal Mercury and Solar Arc Saturn is square natal Mercury. Interestingly, his Progressed Mars is in an opposition aspect to the degree of the 2020 Saturn Pluto conjunction. Watch to see what happens after the 27th of March when transiting Mercury conjuncts his Progressed Mercury at 0 Aries, transiting Venus and Mars conjunct his natal Midheaven and transiting Jupiter squares his natal Ascendant.

Throughout the last two years, transiting Saturn and Uranus have been in a square aspect to each other. This has brought social unrest, resulting in protests, demonstrations and riots. It will draw to a close by the end of 2022 but this war seems to be a final manifestation of its influence. There's a theory in astrology that when a major aspect is about to reach its climax, it becomes more forceful, resulting in one final show of strength. This aspect is being mirrored in President Zelenskyy's own chart right now as transiting Saturn is in a square to his natal Uranus. Hence, he has become personally involved in its worldly effects.

The Vertex is a highly personal point in the chart which is often referred to as 'The Gate Of Fate' as it signifies karmic encounters. With transiting Uranus in opposition to his natal Vertex right now it shows that President Zelenskyy is currently in a situation where he must confront and deal with others. Transiting Pluto is forming an unusual configuration with President Zelenskyy's natal Jupiter and Saturn. This configuration is called a Yod, sometimes referred to as 'The Finger Of Fate', or 'The Finger Of God'. It occurs when there are two planets in a sextile aspect to each other - in this case natal Jupiter and Saturn - and a third planet forming quincunx aspects to both of them - in this case, transiting Pluto.
