Carlos Marin

Classical singer Carlos Marin was born on Sunday 13th October 1968 in Mörfelden-Walldorf near Russelsheim, Germany and raised in Spain. No birth time available.

As a Sun sign Libran, Carlos is very refined and charming with a strong sense of image. He is diplomatic, congenial and very romantic. His Sun is in conjunction with Mercury making him a great communicator - he can speak and sing in several languages. The Sun in an opposition aspect to Saturn indicates ambition, patience and dedication.

With his natal Moon in its own sign of Cancer, Carlos has great emotional strength and sensitivity. Although he may sometimes be easily wounded by a careless word, he is highly attuned to the feelings and moods of others. Men with a dominant Cancerian influence in their charts possess an innate understanding of women and Carlos is no exception. He loves women - and they love him.....

Mercury in Libra shows that Carlos is good at weighing up options and reaching a balanced decision. He may sometimes compromise his own opinions in order to please other people. He needs a strong mental affinity in close relationships. With natal Mercury in an opposition aspect to Saturn, Carlos is very honest and straightforward. Polite, yes - but very down-to-earth and direct. You will always get the truth from him - no bullshit. This man has incredible integrity and a strong sense of discipline and commitment.

With Venus in Scorpio, Carlos is intensely passionate. Scorpio is the sign of deep emotion and Venus is all about conveying feelings of love. With his powerful singing voice, Carlos embodies this concept perfectly. Venus in conjunction with Neptune indicates that he is highly sensitive, romantic and idealistic.

With Venus in a sextile aspect to Jupiter, he is sociable, graceful, charming and popular and knows how to handle people in any situation. He has an eye for quality and a taste for luxury. With his dynamic, dramatic and passionate performances, it's clear to see - and feel - the strong Venus in Scorpio influence of his birth chart. Venus in a positive sextile aspect to Pluto emphasises this and gives him a magnetic personality which exudes a very sensual nature.

Mars in the sign of Virgo indicates that Carlos is precise and methodical. Obsessed with detail, he picks up on every little thing. He's not afraid of hard work, possibly to the point of over-exertion, and is very self-critical. Constantly learning more ways to enhance his skills, he is forever seeking perfection.

With Jupiter also in Virgo, Carlos seeks technical excellence in his profession and is exceptionally dutiful towards his work. He understands the relationship between a healthy mind and body and therefore is very strict in regard to his lifestyle - he doesn't smoke and is probably careful about what he eats and drinks. Jupiter in conjunction to Pluto will bring him tremendous confidence and major accomplishments. He has an incredibly strong need to make it big in the world, and a desire to succeed at the highest level. Setbacks or failures do not worry him as he sees opportunity in every challenge. This aspect has the potential to make Carlos a very powerful figure. He will make a big difference in the world and enhance the lives of many people.

Jodie Whittaker

Actress Jodie Whittaker was born on Thursday, 17th June 1982 in Huddersfield, England. No birth time is available, so unfortunately, it's not possible to analyse the Moon or the Ascendant in her natal chart.

As a Sun Sign Gemini, Jodie is bright and very talkative - a born communicator. Mentally agile and inquisitive, she will enjoy acquiring knowledge and learning new things. The Sun is in an opposition aspect to Neptune in her natal chart, and this planetary combination is frequently found in the charts of people who are in the entertainment industry as it brings strong creative potential and artistic talent. In a trine aspect to Jupiter and Pluto, she will have a benevolent and easy-going personality. Jodie may find that good luck comes to her through the crises in her life.

With Mercury in the sign of Gemini, Jodie has a logical and versatile mind which is capable of processing a lot of information quickly and thoroughly. Articulate and witty, she needs constant mental stimulation. Mercury in a trine aspect to Mars shows that she is a skilled speaker and has lots of common sense. Determined and courageous, she has no problem making decisions - even if she knows her choices might not be popular. Mercury in an opposition aspect to Uranus indicates that Jodie may be highly strung and prone to nervous tension. She has a great memory and is also astute, single-minded and forward looking. This woman knows what she wants!

Venus in the sign of Taurus indicates that Jodie has tremendous talents - possibly more than she realises. Obviously she's an amazing actress, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is also a great singer, musician or artist.

With her natal Mars in Libra, Jodie will know how to compromise and she is excellent at conflict management. Mars in a sextile aspect to Uranus shows that she may need to channel impulsive urges in a positive and constructive way. This planetary influence also gives her an adventurous outlook which inspires other people. Although strongly independent with a fighting spirit, she works well in groups and takes the lead.

Risk taking is not a problem for Jodie and she should always trust her instincts. With a strong desire for excitement, her high energy levels and spontaneity may sometimes unnerve the people around her. She is very independent and needs a certain amount of freedom in relationships as well as in her career. She makes a positive impression on others and she is the one that can get things moving with her initiative and motivation. When people meet celebrities with Mars sextile Uranus they will often mention their presence or aura that fills the room.

Saturn in Libra shows that Jodie works hard to maintain the important relationships in her life and may be overly critical if others do not reciprocate. In a square aspect to her natal Nodes, Saturn could bring a sense of deep guilt - often in connection to family history. Perhaps because of something which has been passed down through her family for many years.

JODIE IN DOCTOR WHO

The actors who portray the Timelord always have powerful connections to the Doctor Who natal chart - and Jodie is no exception. Her natal Sun is in aspect to the DW Moon, Venus and Mars, but the most important is a conjunction to the Doctor Who Ascendant which will enhance the popularity of both her and the show itself.. They will both be in the spotlight like never before and this astrological influence will bring a total reboot for Doctor Who.

Jodie's natal Uranus in conjunction to the Doctor Who natal Sun indicates that having her on board the Tardis will change the course of the show's direction and improve its image. This aspect will bring an air of excitement and originality. There could be unusual twists and turns during Jodie's time in the Tardis because whether she is aware of it or not, she has come into this role to challenge everyone to accept a nontraditional or unconventional style of Timelord. In turn, this experience will trigger Jodie's need to explore her own individuality. Many, many ups and downs are in store both for the character, the series -  and Jodie herself. Get ready for a wild ride!

Jodie's Neptune conjunct the Doctor Who Descendant shows that casting her as the new Doctor is an inspired decision. However, there is also a hint of misunderstandings and a betrayal of trust. What this will mean, I'm not sure. Time will tell.....

One of the most exciting aspects between the charts is the conjunction of Jodie's North Node to the Doctor Who North Node which indicates that she and Doctor Who share the same path of destiny. Whatever happens next, this was meant to be.....

Mars in Aquarius - Hot, hot, hot!

On the 16th May 2018 Mars entered Aquarius and began an unusually long transit through that sign.  It began to turn retrograde on 27th June and has now briefly and temporarily returned to Capricorn where it will remain until 11th September. After that date, Mars will resume its transit of Aquarius finally leaving on 15th November - a journey totalling six months!

So what does this mean for Aquarians? If you were born under the sign of Aquarius, Mars will conjunct your natal Sun between 11th September and 15th November, bringing a tremendous increase in drive and ambition, a strong urge to get what you want regardless of what other people may think. You will be much more self assertive than usual and this could cause arguments or conflict with others. If you channel this boost of energy constructively, you can achieve a lot. Physical activity is one of the best ways to use it, so competing hard to win in any sporting contest is ideal.

In your special one-to-one relationship, things should get hot and steamy as Mars is the planet of desire. Together with your natal Sun, you will find your extra energy will also turn to a need for more passion. Mars will not return to conjunct your Sun until 2020 - so make the most of this special time. The planet of fire in the sign of electricity will be hot!

Uranus in Taurus - Part 2

Taurus is an Earth sign and is therefore connected to the physical geology of Planet Earth. The effect of Uranus will bring sudden shocks and during the next seven years we can expect more geological, ecological, meteorological, and geomagnetic occurrences. Uranus tends to turn things around to the opposite position. In the context of the Earth, could this indicate polar shift? Recent scientific reports claim that the North and South Poles are on the move. Although this would be a process lasting thousands of years, could we begin to feel its effects now? Taurus is all about stability but Uranus is all about instability so anything is possible when these two forces combine.

Respect for Planet Earth will become even stronger from now until 2025. Innovative ways of cleaning up the ecosystem and new agricultural methods are likely to be developed. Getting closer to nature and working the land will become popular again. This is going to be an important decade for the environment and our relationship to it. We have been destroying our planet for far too long. Uranus in Taurus will turn that on its head and we will discover new ways to live in harmony with the natural world.

One of the main concepts of Uranus in Taurus is turning ideas into reality and during the next seven years there will be many inventive ways of resolving practical issues. Stubborn persistence and extreme impatience towards working for positive change will be evident. Breaking with conventional values and a willingness to adopt an off-beat lifestyle will be the key to freedom. We, the human race, are now very aware of what has gone wrong in society, and in the environment. We now need to discover how to get out of this mess we have created. Now, with Uranus in Taurus, we have a new opportunity to radically alter our attitudes. If something hasn't worked in the past - reject it, find alternatives.

Until recently, anything to do with computers tended to be confined to certain electronic devices and a phenomenon called Virtual Reality. It has all been very abstract. Uranus in Taurus will change that by making computer technology much more practical. Virtual reality will become physical reality - particularly through the advancement and use of Artificial Intelligence.  Although A.I. will really take off in a big way after 2025 when Uranus moves into the sign of Gemini, the next seven years will prepare the ground for what is coming next.....

Another manifestation of technology becoming more physical will be in the realm of medicine. The fusion of artificial intelligence with biology will begin to develop even further with implants and microchips inside the human body to re-engineer from within. Sending microscopic robots - nanobots - into the body to analyse, repair or deliver medication will become much more common. Not only will bionic limbs be used more efficiently, but new bionic inventions will appear which will enable other parts of the body to be replaced too. However, with the 'get back to basics' of Taurus and the 'look to the future' of Uranus, old traditional methods will also make a return. This is vitally important as modern medicine has become highly flawed as many of the wonderful treatments and cures of the last 100 years are proving to be the cause of new, potentially incurable diseases. Superbugs are a case in point and one of our primary goals from now on will be finding a way to beat infection without antibiotics. Going back to nature will be one such route, as will taking alternative medicine and New Age ideas more seriously.

The world of finance will undergo major changes as Uranus transits Taurus. There will be a revolution in how we pay - is a cashless society on the way with money only existing in digital form? Or will we resurrect an old but very effective system called barter? This involves goods or services being directly exchanged for other goods or services without using money. Either way, renouncing the accepted value of money is likely as we will break away from our current materialistic attitudes.

On a personal level, fixed, old beliefs about the body, and the perception of beauty will change. It's a little known fact, but Uranus is the planet of glamour and fashion trends, so when it changes signs, its influence on style takes on a new twist. In Taurus, the emphasis will be on sensuality. So, sexy make-up, neck decorations like jewellery, ties and scarves, and clothes made from natural - but ethical - materials like wool and cotton will be in vogue.

If you were born under the sign of Taurus, you could begin to feel considerable unrest and inner tension during this transit of Uranus as it conjuncts your natal Sun. A sudden impulse to change course and improve your circumstances. A desire for greater personal freedom will be a very powerful force. Your behaviour may become more erratic as your current lifestyle will seem stifling and monotonous. Becoming who you really are will be very important.

Kylie Minogue

Pop superstar, actress, and businesswoman Kylie Minogue OBE was born on Tuesday 28th May 1968 at 11:00am in Melbourne, Australia.

With ALL of her personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus & Mars) in the sign of Gemini, Kylie is quick-witted, versatile and a great communicator. She is very flirtatious but also very fickle and is prone to fluctuating moods. Kylie seeks variety both romantically and socially. In a relationship she requires personal space as well as a strong mental rapport with her partner. She has a restless spirit and needs constant change in order to keep her mind stimulated. With so many planets in Gemini, there could be a fear of powerful emotional contacts. Four of Kylie's personal planets are situated in sector 11 - the most emphasised area of her natal chart - and this indicates that she is very sociable. She is highly competitive, excellent at championing good causes, and has clear-cut goals and ambitions.

The Sun is in conjunction with both Venus and Mars in Kylie's natal chart making her refined and artistic. She has enormous vitality and is hot blooded, impulsive and full of energy. Decisive and enterprising, she has a desire to achieve and be in charge. Kylie's natal Moon is in conjunction with Mars indicating that she is very warm-hearted. Her fiery emotions make her independent, direct, and strong-willed with both tremendous courage and a fighting spirit.

With her natal Ascendant in the sign of Cancer, Kylie is deeply compassionate. This ultra feminine sign is what gives her a sensual aura and goddess-like image. Her family ties are very strong, and together, she and her loved ones share a powerful emotional bond. Adaptable and easy-going, there has always been something familiar about her - she's the girl next door, your sister, and your best friend all rolled into one. This is the feeling that people get from someone with a Cancer Ascendant. Being sensitive to her environment, I wouldn't be surprised if Kylie sometimes feels threatened in public situations. People with Cancer dominant in their charts have a very powerful sense of self-protection, and although she is famous, Kylie will try to remain as private as possible.

With her natal Mercury in a sextile aspect to Jupiter, Kylie loves to expand her mind through travel and meeting people from other countries and cultures. Extremely intelligent and articulate, she is never short of constructive conversation and creative ideas. Her innate optimism and sense of humour make her very popular. Situated on a world point, Kylie's natal Mercury shows that she would become famous through television.

Natal Venus in a trine aspect to Uranus is a strong indication of Kylie's creative talents. Naturally charismatic and an excellent flirt, she has many friends, but being emotionally independent, she will not be tied down. Venus rules one-to-one relationships, but connected to Uranus, there can be sudden, exciting, magnetic attractions. Venus Uranus aspects tend to bring impulsive, unusual and unstable partnerships as there is a conflict between the need for love and desire for freedom.

Kylie's natal Uranus is in a sextile aspect to her Ascendant. This shows her to be a very creative individual who is able to express herself in a big way. Clever and original, she loves to share her ideas with other people. She dislikes routine and her attitudes are quite progressive. With a strong urge to be herself, and to express her individuality, she values freedom and independence in all areas of her life. As a result, she will constantly be seeking new experiences. A natural leader, Kylie has the ability to gain others' cooperation, support and enthusiasm.

Gemini people are the chameleons of the zodiac due to their ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and Kylie is no exception. As musical styles and trends evolved over the decades so did Kylie. Always tuned into the zeitgeist, she has gained popularity by continuously transforming herself and increasing her fanbase. That is the secret of her success.

The Royal Wedding

The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take place on Saturday, 19th May at 12:00pm in Windsor, England, UK.

The chart for the wedding is not only the 'birth' chart of the marriage itself but also a snapshot of what might be happening on that particular day. I can see that both the Sun and the Ascendant are in Fixed signs. This indicates that their marriage will be strong and stable. The Sun situated in sector 10 shows that the wedding will be a prestigious and powerful event which will bring enormous respect.

The Moon in the marriage chart is in the sign of Cancer and also in sector 11. This will bring great emotional strength and sensitivity. Together, Harry and Meghan will find a sense of belonging through like-minded friends and the organisations they are involved in. Supporting emotive causes will enhance their popularity. As part of a Grand Trine configuration comprising Jupiter and Neptune, the Moon in this position will bring kind, warm-hearted benevolent feelings. However, the Moon is also in an opposition aspect to Pluto which indicates obsession, jealousy and impulsive reactions. This marriage may have to withstand many crises and fated events.

High drama and unwelcome surprises are definitely showing in the chart for Meghan and Harry’s wedding this Saturday. With Mars in a square aspect to Uranus there could be explosive upsets, insecurity and over-reactions. Unforeseen circumstances and rash behaviour could be a problem but the wedding should be an exciting occasion and bring the couple much success.

The wedding chart Vertex is in Capricorn and this indicates that Harry and Meghan will be expected to carry out the duties and obligations which will prepare them for positions of greater responsibility. The Vertex in a conjunction with Pluto suggest that they might experience issues of control and Pluto in conjunction with the asteroid Lilith indicates that honesty, truth, equality, and respect will have to be acknowledged.

Venus in the marriage chart is situated on a World Point indicating that the public will connect and bond with Harry and Meghan both on the wedding day and beyond. Venus in sector 11 shows a spirit of goodwill and popularity towards the couple.

The marriage Sun is conjunct Harry's natal North Node indicating tremendous public popularity. Jupiter is conjunct his Midheaven which shows happiness and confidence. The marriage asteroid Juno will be conjunct Meghan's natal Midheaven and square Harry's natal Ascendant on Saturday and this is a clear indication of great  success.

Uranus In Taurus - Part 1

On 15th May 2018 transiting Uranus will enter the sign of Taurus for the first time since it left there in 1941. It will temporarily move back into Aries on 6th November 2018 before re-entering Taurus on 6th March 2019 where it will remain until 7th July 2025. Uranus has an 84-year cycle and changes signs every seven years.

As a major transiting planet, Uranus has a global effect, so during the next seven years we can expect interesting new discoveries and inventions, as well as major advances in technology. Increased exploration of our own planet and others throughout the universe is also highly likely. Also, because Uranus, through its natural rulership of Aquarius, symbolises the flow of energy, particularly electricity, I would expect some sort of innovation involving this concept - perhaps by finding new energy sources using the oceans or harnessing the power of lightening.

In astrology, Uranus is often referred to as 'The Great Awakener'. This is because it tends to reveal what's really going on by making us see things from a different perspective. This effect has already begun with the Facebook fiasco as Uranus destabilised  security via technology. We are all going to have to wake up and get back to reality because there will more revelations to come. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Transiting Uranus often brings sweeping, global revolution. As the planet which rules electronics and technology - particularly computers - it has brought a huge surge in the popularity of social media during the last seven years. Uranus is about bringing people together but the sign of Aries is about selfishness and the fight for prominence, so this astrological influence has brought people together in a competitive way with TV talent shows, cosmetic surgery, and digitally enhanced selfies. Now, as Uranus enters Taurus, we will all come back to earth with a huge bump.

In ancient mythology, Uranus was overthrown by his son, Saturn. As a result, Uranus cycles are associated with the replacement of established leaders with radically different, new ones. This applies to royalty, politicians, and religious heirarchy. Indeed, the British Royal Family will go through a major change from now onwards. A very, very major change. They are preparing for it right now - why else would there be so much royal 'activity' during 2018 with weddings and births? Conspiracy theorists claim that the British Monarchy knows all about astrology and how to use it to their own advantage. I don't know if that's true, but from what's going on this year, it does seem as if they are aware of what's coming next and are preparing for it. Maybe it's just a PR exercise or morale booster to ease the onset of Brexit in 2019. Then again, it could be something else.....

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle was born as Rachel Meghan Markle on Tuesday 4th August 1981 at 4:46am in Canoga Park, California, USA. Interestingly, she was born on the 81st birthday of Prince Harry's great grandmother, and just six days after his parents' wedding.

As a Sun sign Leo, Meghan will be at ease associating with royalty as she is confident and dignified in social situations. She has a desire to prove her strengths and abilites. The Sun is situated in sector one of her natal chart bringing natural qualities of leadership and tremendous enthusiasm. She will be very eager to leave her mark on history. The Sun in conjunction with Mercury indicates that she is an independent thinker who forms her own opinions. The Sun in a trine aspect to the Midheaven shows that Meghan has a positive outlook on life, with a powerful urge to be recognised. This planetary influence tends to bring great success.

With her natal Moon in Libra, Meghan will have a powerful need to be in a partnership. Without someone to share her life with, she will feel incomplete - but safe and secure when in a strong relationship. Charming and attractive, she will win hearts with her gentle and refined ways. Harmony, peace, and sharing is very important to her. However, this Moon position can bring a tendency to see flaws in relationships, and although diplomatic with everyone else, winning an argument with those closest to her will be paramount.

The natal Moon in sector three shows that Meghan is very responsive, communicative, and curious. She may have a talent for imitating others and learning languages. She will often make decisions for emotional or personal reasons, and her feelings could influence her thoughts. Comfortable talking about personal issues and sharing confidences, she will enable others to express their own innermost thoughts. Meghan has good psychological insight.

Meghan's natal Moon is part of a planetary configuration called a Stellium. This occurs when three or more planets are in conjunction with each other. The Moon is in conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn, bringing generosity and a warm heart. Sometimes quite opinionated, she has a strong sense of right and wrong, and feeling very passionate about justice and equality, she is keen to help others. She has an innate understanding of human nature and the world around her, and she would make an excellent teacher. This planetary influence indicates a strong attachment to the past, to history, and to cultures of the world.

Meghan is very sensitive despite her cool exterior. Some hardship or adversity will not be a problem for her, as she will feel invigorated when she's required to overcome challenges, and she is more able than most to keep calm when under pressure. Hardworking and reliable, Meghan could become a loyal and dutiful addition to the monarchy.

With her Ascendant in the sign of Cancer, Meghan will have very strong instincts. She will come across as a caring person and very approachable. With the sign of Capricorn on the Descendant, she will be looking for structure and security in her partner and their relationship. Strength, as well as financial and emotional stability in a partner will be very important to her, and she will be more than willing to give up her personal freedom in order to get it.

Meghan's natal Mercury in Leo indicates strong-minded opinions which may be expressed with great authority. She is probably very good at communicating with children and young people. With Mercury in a sextile aspect to Jupiter, she has a thirst for knowledge and information. She will have many constructive and creative ideas.

Natal Venus in the sign of Virgo shows that Meghan's standards may be too high in relationships. Her most compatible and successful partnerships will evolve through a practical approach to love based on shared work and mental compatibility. Situated in sector two of her chart, Venus may bring a tendency for indulgent and expensive habits, as well as powerful emotions which could lead to possessiveness.

With her natal Mars in Cancer, Meghan's actions may be motivated by deeply felt emotions. Repressed anger could be a problem for her and when confrontations arise she might experience a lack of self-control. Mars in sector 12 of her chart could bring a feeling of vulnerability, perhaps with self-destructive thoughts. People with Mars situated in this area of the chart often experience regular nightmares.

Meghan's natal Mars is in a square aspect to her Moon, Jupiter, Saturn stellium, as well as her Midheaven. Open, direct, strong-willed, and ambitious, she has tremendous courage and a fighting spirit. She is good at making decisions, but sometimes her actions may be too hasty. Meghan has powerful determination and she loves a challenge, but might be prone to conflicts and disputes.

Natal Uranus is in sector five of the chart and in a trine aspect to Meghan's Ascendant. This shows that she thrives on changing circumstances and loves anything out of the ordinary. She has a heightened need to express her individuality and tends to look for constant excitement. Championing radical causes is something she is - or will become - keen on doing. She has an urge to be seen as different or unconventional. She could have a problem with authority figures and will stubbornly refuse to take advice.

The Royal Baby: A Brother For George & Charlotte

HRH The Duchess Of Cambridge gave birth this morning to her third child - a son. The new prince was born at 11:01am in Paddington, England, UK.

With his natal Sun in the sign of Taurus, the newest member of the Cambridge family will be determined and stubborn, he will know what he wants and won't allow anyone to push him around. The Sun is situated in sector 10 of the natal chart showing that, later in life, he will want to be taken seriously in his profession. This position of the Sun in a natal chart often indicates a powerful parent or an ambitious mother. In this case, definitely true.

The Sun is in a square aspect to the Moon in the new prince's chart which shows that he may find it difficult to adapt to change. The Sun in a trine aspect to Saturn indicates reliability and dedication. The prince's natal Sun is in a conjunction with Uranus which will bring an original and unorthodox outlook on life. Personal freedom and independence will be important to him, and he could become a royal rebel.

With his natal Moon in the sign of Leo, the prince will be loyal and affectionate. This is the sign of drama and performance, so he will not have a problem being 'on show' in the public spotlight. The Moon in sector one of the natal chart will bring an ability to tune into his immediate surroundings and therefore be sensitive to the mood of the people.

The Moon is in a trine aspect to Mercury imbuing the price with excellent self-expression and a wonderful sense of humour. Perceptive, with a talent for languages, the prince will be very talkative and have exceptional communication skills. The Moon in conjunction with the North Node shows that the need for home, family and emotional security will be very strong.

The new prince's Ascendant is in Cancer and this indicates that he will be very sensitive, caring and compassionate. He will have strong bonds with women - particularly female family members. A square aspect from Uranus to his Ascendant will bring a love of anything unusual.

Mercury in Aries indicates that the prince will have a quick, decisive mind, and be full of highly intuitive ideas. Mercury in sector nine of the natal chart shows a love of travel and foreign cultures, as well as an attraction to interests which broaden the mind, such as religion, philosophy and politics. Natal Venus in the sign of Taurus will bring artistic and musical talents. Venus in sector 11 of the chart shows many friends.

Natal Mars in Capricorn will make the prince influential and assertive but he may clash with people in authority. Mars in sector six of the chart shows tremendous self-discipline and a love of physical activity. Mars in a sextile aspect to both Jupiter and Neptune indicates high energy levels and great willpower. The prince will have a positive and enterprising attitude. He'll be charitable, compassionate and will initiate many inspirational projects. With his natal Mars in conjunction to Pluto, the prince will show great courage and be a tireless worker who will achieve great success.

Happy Astrological New Year!

The Spring Equinox will occur on Tuesday 20th March at 16:16 hrs precisely. In the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the official start of Spring. Also known as the March Equinox, the Northward Equinox and the Vernal Equinox from Vernus - the Latin word for Spring, aequus - Latin for equal, and nox - Latin for night. It describes the two days of the year (the other is the Autumnal Equinox in September) when day and night are equal in length. On the Spring Equinox, the Sun moves North across the Equator and positions at 0.00° of the Zodiac Circle. Known as the First Point In Aries, this is where the Sun's annual journey around the Zodiac begins - it's the Astrological New Year.

If you calculate a chart for the beginning of any season, it will show likely events, both personally and globally, for the next three months. So, what lies ahead from now until 21st June? The first thing I noticed is that there is an Earth Grand Trine involving the Moon in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, and the Ascendant in Virgo. This suggests a period of stability on the world stage. However, there are no fewer than five planets situated in sector 8 - the house of money, scandal and dark secrets. Is something going on behind the scenes that we know nothing about? As two of those planets are Mercury and Venus in a conjunction to each other, it could mean secret negotiations of some kind.

In the Spring Equinox chart, the Sun is in a square aspect to Mars. This indicates turbulent times with an accident-prone phase ahead. A very uncompromising influence which will bring a lot of frustration. Explosive bursts of anger are also likely - so hopefully that stabilising Earth Grand Trine will prevent conflict. It's true that certain factions will be in the mood to do battle but perhaps with words, not war. Interestingly this planetary influence shows increased physical energy. What does this mean on a global scale? Could it be seismic energy? Or perhaps other forces of nature - weather, tidal surges, etc?

Sector 7 of the Spring Equinox chart is also highly emphasised - including Juno, the marriage asteroid conjunct the Descendant. Now, who do we know who will be getting married soon with a wedding seen by millions of people? As far as the new royal baby is concerned, I can't be sure and I'm really sticking my neck out, but it seems likely that the birth of Kate's third will be on or around the 28th April.

For those of you reading this who are into numerology, can you tell what the significance of the number 16 is? The Equinox date adds up to 16 (2 + 0 + 3 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 8) and the time is 16 hours and 16 minutes.

Blue SuperMoon Eclipse

A very rare astronomical event will take place on 31st January - a Blue Moon

A 'Blue Moon' happens when there are two Full Moons in one calendar month. This occurs approximately five times per century, hence the saying 'once in a blue moon' which means something that doesn't happen very often. There are two Blue Moons this year on 31st January and again on 31st March. However, January's Blue Moon is even rarer as it is also a Super Moon - which means it's almost 15% brighter - and an Eclipsed Moon too! There has not been a Moon like this for over 150 years.

What does all of this mean astrologically? Well, if you have ant planets or points in your natal chart which are positioned between 10° - 13° Aquarius or Leo, if your birthday falls from 30th January to 3rd February, or if your birthday is from 31st July to 4th August, these will be triggered by the Eclipse, bringing an emotional awakening during the next six months. Interestingly, Meghan Markle has her natal Sun at 12° Leo. We assume that we know what she'll be doing during the next six months, but there could be sadness for some reason.

This Lunar Eclipse is in conjunction to Ceres - the planet of food, agriculture, fertility and nurturing. So, the current upsurge in veganism will probably continue. We'll also become even more aware of environmental issues. And because both the Moon and Ceres are female influences, expect the empowerment of women to increase.

Doctor Who - Update: Part 1

On 16th July 2017, the BBC unveiled the actor who will be taking over the role of Doctor Who when the next series begins in 2018. To many people's delight, the new Doctor will be a woman. Despite what some astrologers have said, the unveiling of the actor is not the regeneration of the character. That took place at the end of the special Christmas episode on 25th December at 6:25pm (more on that later). This radical transformation - the first ever female Doctor in the history of the show - is very evident in the Doctor Who chart.

When Peter Capaldi's Doctor regenerated on Christmas Day into the first ever female Timelord (or Timelady?) played by the immensely talented Jodie Whittaker (more about her later) there was a lot of feminine activity in the Doctor Who chart. The Progressed Moon - at 18° Aquarius throughout December - is conjunct the natal Midheaven. In the Solar Arc chart Venus and Mars are also conjunct the natal Midheaven, Transiting Venus was positioned on a World Point, indicating that this new female Doctor could stir things up on a global level. As Doctor Who is broadcast in many countries around the world, it will be interesting to see the opinions and feedback from international fans of the show. In the Solar Return chart for Doctor Who, the sign of Cancer is on the Ascendant - the ultimate female sign - and it's ruler, the Moon, is conjunct Pluto - the planet of regeneration.

However, it's the Doctor Who Annual Degree Projection chart which really shows the momentous changes. The Projected Sun conjunct natal Pluto is a powerful planetary combination linked to events that bring about a major change in direction. I think you could say that casting a female actor in the role of the Doctor will do just that.

The Annual Degree Projection Moon is conjunct natal Vesta. The Moon symbolises femininity and the asteroid Vesta is also very feminine, representing the torch bearer, the eternal flame, the sacred fire. So, this influence suggests that the first female Doctor will somehow be a beacon for feminism, a leader, a trailblazer.

The main influence in the Doctor Who ADP chart which has perhaps triggered the decision to finally make the Doctor a woman is Projected Uranus exactly conjunct the natal Ascendant. When Uranus aspects the Ascendant in a chart, the subject tends to radically alter themselves in some way - particularly their appearance. Uranus also gives the courage to change by adopting an 'I don't care what anyone thinks' attitude. Uranus turns even the most traditional conformist into a rebellious risk-taker. It brings the urge to break with the past, and to become new and different. The Doctor has always been a man - but not anymore!

With the Projected Vertex opposite the Doctor Who natal Moon it's obvious that a woman was to become very important in the show. Known as 'The Gate Of Fate', the Vertex tends to bring unexpected encounters. Combined with the Moon, this encounter was definitely going to be connected to women. Now we know why.

The Projected Midheaven conjunct the natal Sun and the Projected Ascendant conjunct Jupiter, both indicate that the decision to cast a female actor in such a traditionally male role looks set to be a hugely optimistic, positive and successful one. It will completely reboot what is already a cult drama into a new dimension of popularity.
